He is a native of Clinton and attended schools at Con cord before enter ing St. Louis University where he earned his B. S. degree in Commerce and Finance. He worked with Falstaff Brewing Corp, in St. Louis before joining Olin. He served with the U. S. Army in Korea during the Korean War. Brewer is treasurer of the Asheville chapter of the American Production and Inventory Control Society. ROBERT D. HILLMANN has been appointed director of procurement and traffic for the Fine Paper and and Film Group. He was assistant director of marketing in the Ecusta Paper Division at the time of this appointment, having previously held various sales, administrative and marketing positions in the group’s Film Division. Employed by Olin in February 1952, he was with Film for approximately 18 years, five of those years at headquarters here. before joining Seal-Kap Pack aging in Long Island City, N. Y. He returned to Olin in Sep tember 1972 as Ecusta’s assistant director of mar keting. He is a native of the Queens borough of New York City where he attended public schools. He earned his B. S. degree in Mar keting at New York University. GERARD WILSON has been appointed account manager of the Film Division’s Northeast sales territory. He joined Olin in Sep tember 1971 as a sales trainee and was assigned to the Northeast region in April 1972 as sales repre sentative. He worked previously with Gulf Oil Corp. He is a native of Atlanta where he graduated from high school. He received his A. B. degree in Journalism at the University of Georgia. A var sity football player, he was secretary of Alpha Delta Sigma pro fessional busi ness fraternity and belonged to Alpha Tau Omega social fraternity and the Circle Key Club. He served with the U. S. Army for three years, including serviceasa First Lieutenant in Vietnam. DR. WILLIAM K. LAUTNER has been appointed manager of quality assurance in the Technical Depart ment of the Fine Paper and Film Group. He joined Onn in September 1969 as acting manager of coating development and soon became senior research associate. He was ► A minor non-injury accident made a believer of Robert W. Hinkle shortly after he came to work in 1951. After dropping something on his foot, he donned safety shoes which he’s worn at work ever since. That precaution paid off this August when he dropped a mandrel on his foot. The shoe was ruined, as shown above. At his sta tion in Film Division’s Finishing Department at Pisgah Forest, he shows how the 75-pound mandrel landed on his foot. Thanks to the protection of his safety shoe, he didn’t receive a scratch.
